  • New Sets Now Available At S@H

If you went to Brickfest, chances are you got a good peek at 10175 Vader’s TIE Advanced up close and personal like. Even if you didn’t, no doubt you’ve seen pictures of them online (or maybe you haven’t cause I haven’t found any yet). So while I wait for those studio shot pics from Steve of the Vader’s TIE and Brickfest pics from my buds who went, I thought I’d share some shopping news.

10175 Vader’s TIE Advanced is now available for pre-order at LEGO Shop At Home. Retail price is set at $99.99 and is scheduled to ship by September 1 as I write this. Could be later if the sell through their initial shipments. From what I’ve seen and heard, this set is AWESOME.

The 6212 X-wing Fighter is available now at LEGO Shop At Home. Price is $49.99. The set features a load of minifigs including Han, Leia, and a new Wedge Antilles figure. It also has some different tile options to designate the X-wing as Luke’s or Wedge’s ship.

My wallet is much lighter today.

  • R-wing Fighter Contest Finalists

The R-wing Fighter Contest isn’t dead, just neglected. So, without further ado, I would like to present the finalists to the R-wing Contest, as hand-picked by the creator of the Alphabet Project, Jon Palmer:

    Legohaulic
    Mark Stafford
    porschecm2
    fmoo
    mikepsiaki

Clicking on the thumbnail takes you to the flickr page, and from there you can view the creator’s gallery with more images of the ships.

Once you’re done viewing the goods, you can revisit the R-wing Fighter Contest thread to cast your vote. Voting should last somewhere between 5-7 days.

Thanks to all who entered, to Jon Palmer for taking the time out to pick his top 5, and to everyone for your patience.

  • Maintenance Today, Fer Realz

That maintenance on the forums that was supposed to happen last week didn’t quite happen. But I’m going to do it today. Right now as a matter of fact.

Maintenance complete. Thank you for your patience during these trying times.

  • LEGO Wants Your Opinion

Okay, so LEGO set up an official poll over at LEGOFan.org asking what you’d like to see as a set.

Since the German Amazon site listing was clearly a leak, try and pretend you didn’t see it yet. Still, that shouldn’t stop you from answering the poll honestly.

And what the heck is a TIE Crawler? Is it one of those TIE cockpits but instead of wings it’s huge tank treads? Tank tread LEGO elements: good. TIE Crawler: bad.

  • Maintenance Delayed For Today

Okay, so yesterday’s maintenance didn’t quite happen. I’ll get to it later today.

  • Forums Maintenance

Need to take the forums down for a bit of maintenance later today. Shouldn’t last more than an hour and will be done around 1:00pm PT.

  • 7260 Wookiee Catamaran Back At LEGO Shop@Home

If you missed out on 7260 Wookiee Catamaran, now’s your chance to amend for your mistakes. Seems like LEGO Shop@Home has a few in stock for retail price of $49.99. Much better than ebay and bricklink prices if you ask me. So get it while you still can.

Hope you got one while you could have cause they are all sold out now.

  • LEGO Star Wars II: The Video Game Playable Demo

Are you chomping at the bit for some LEGO Star Wars video game action? If you can’t wait til the release day in September, you can download a playable version from 3dgamers.

  • 6212 X-wing Fighter First Images

Finally got some images out of ol’ Steve. Thanks, Steve!

He is trying to get a close up of Wedge’s helmet and other relevant info. Stay tuned.
