Since our last update on the My Nintendo Super Mario Missions a few weeks ago, Nintendo’s added a couple more things to do to the mix, some of which are easy and one requires possession of a specific game.

Explore the Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary page on Amazon.com

Visit this Amazon page showing various Super Mario Bros. 35th merch, scroll down about halfway until you see the section above, and click on the image. You’ll be taken back to the Nintendo page where the mission should now be marked complete as long as you were signed into your account there. As a bonus, you’ll also earn 100 Platinum Points.

Sign up for the Super Mario Maker 2 Ninji Speedrun Online Challenge

The next two challenges are like a two-fer: one is to sign up for the Speedrun challenge and the other is to actually participate. Signing up is easy, as all you have to do is go to https://mario.nintendo.com/challenge/ and click on the “Enter Now!” button. You don’t even have to own the game to complete this one. You have until November 24, 2020, at 6:00 pm PT to do that. You’ll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber to qualify.

Participate in the Super Mario Maker 2 Ninji Speedrun Online Challenge

This is the other half of the two-fer. After signing up, you actually need to play the course. The upside is that the 35 players with the shortest times will be awarded a commemorative coin. The huge downside is that it looks like you’ll have to own the game to complete it. If you don’t own it, maybe you can borrow a friend’s copy. I don’t own it, and I’m not about to fork out $60 bucks for it either, so that’s the route I’m going to take. I’m hoping this is one of those optional challenges like Mario Kart Tour was; as in you may need to complete a certain number of missions and this one may be skippable. Like entering, you have until November 24, 2020 to complete this mission.
