Target is running its popular Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion on select books, movies, toys (except LEGO), puzzles, board games, and video games. I’ve picked out a few things that are worth giving a look:

  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4 | Xbox) I mean, this thing JUST came out. $59.99
  • Resident Evil Village (PS4 | Xbox) I mean, this thing JUST came out. $59.99
  • Eric’s 2020 Game of the Year, Hades, is also part of the sale. $34.99 for the Switch.
  • Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PS4 is only $49.99 and a great chapter in the modern day PlayStation Spider-Man franchise.
  • If you didn’t pick up Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion since my last post about it, it’s also part of the sale. And if you did, you can probably return it and take advantage of the current deal. The price is $39.99.
  • All of the Catan games and expansions are part of the deal too, except for Star Trek Catan which seems like it’s out of print now.

Obviously you’ll want to pick three items that are the same price or very close to it to maximize your discount. You can net a 33% discount across all three items if you do it right. The deal is good on thousands of items across all of the categories. I’m sure you can find stuff to take advantage of this deal. And of course if you’re a REDCard holder you’ll save an additional 5% on top.

You can check Target’s full selection of items that qualify for the Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion.

And at the same time, Amazon just also happens to be running a Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion as well for a lot of the same items. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were on the EXACT same list of items. I mean, this is just a coincidence right? Right now I have my eye on Nier Replicant Ver.1.22474487139, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle card game. The card game is pretty highly rated on BoardGameGeek.com (ranked 289 overall) and it’s something I think the daughter would really enjoy. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion is slightly cheaper here, $37.50, slightly up from my last mention but still cheaper than Target. Oh how I wish Returnal and the Pokémon games were a part of this deal but alas, they are not. I’m not sure I’ll pull the trigger on these though, My Backlog isn’t shrinking fast enough and I’d hate to add to it. But still, it’s a pretty good sale!
