I may not have been a big fan of LEGO’s previous Creator Expert line car set, 10271 Fiat 500, but they’ve hit a home run with their new one, 10295 Porsche 911. The car can be built in one of two ways: Targa mode or Turbo mode.
Thee base of the car is exactly the same, right down to the wheels. Things get a bit more stylized when it comes to the roof and the back half of the car to reflect the version of the 911 you want to build.
Even the engine is built differently for each model.
The sides of the LEGO 911 suffers from the same issue that made the Aston Martin DB5 look so boxy and not-right. They are completely flat and the fenders in the Targa version exacerbate the issue. The Turbo version’s rear fenders help break up the flatness and is, in my opinion, the super model to build.
I’m also a fan of big spoilers on a car, so it was an easy pick for me to say this was the better version to build.
10295 Porsche 911 will retail for $149.99, come with 1,458 pieces which is like the perfect ratio, and be available starting on March 1, 2021 directly from LEGO.com and Brand Retail locations. Other retailers too but I’m linking to LEGO since they already have a product page up. Should you click through that link and make a purchase, FBTB may earn a small commission. I love disclosures.
