Yesterday, LEGO posted a video on their YouTube channel outlining their sustainability mission. Their goal is to make 100% of their building elements out of sustainabily-sourced materials by 2030. They’ve already made strides towards that goal by making their plant elements out of sugarcane. I’ve already made comments about this in the Tree House post so I won’t repeat them here. Given our current state of recycling, particularly in the U.S., this is something I really want to see happen. And the sooner this happens, the better it will be for us all.
