Over on the LEGO subreddit, a poster going by ebonlance posted a cropped image of the long-rumored UCS Death Star set. Another user came along a bit later with pictures of the front and back. Never had a leak save me $400+ dollars before, but here we are. I recently put together my earlier version of this, so it’s hard to feel enthused for it. On one hand, there are a few new minifigs (prison officer, blue astromech), and some updates (Leia, Tarkin)… but this feels like one of the most phoned-in remakes in recent years.
The back view looks to be from a store preview for VIPs. Between this and the Hoth “not a bundle” set, starting to question if I’ll get a UCS set again.
