Last post for the night.
This year’s Comic Con exclusive was far easier to get than last year’s as it did not involve any type of merry-go-round tactics; that’s reserved for the Green Lantern/Batman minifig promos. You could just walk right up to the counter to purchase them. Limit of 2 per person per transaction. If you wanted more, you had to go to the back of the line.
Anyways, for $50 bucks, not only do you get your hands on the Advent Calendar early, but you get an awesome LEGO Star Wars holiday print and exclusive packaging designed to look like a mailed package. There’s even a pull tab on the side flaps to simulate a Priority Mail shipping box. The shipping box has a lot of cool little details such as Santa Claus’s return address, LEGO Star Wars holiday themed stamps, an “open by” date, and ribbon graphic. There is a limited number of sets, 1,000, and they’re individually numbered. The kicker is that the print you get is numbered and matched to the set you get. Is the $20 premium worth it? I’d say so. The limited edition print alone is probably worth the extra cost. And you also get the sweet packaging design. I’m far more satisfied with this year’s exclusive than previous years’.
