In case you are like me and just patiently waiting for the day LEGO annoucnes a set that includes proper Super Mario minifigs, well that day is not today. Or yesterday for that matter when LEGO annoucned this 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block set.
But it’s not just a fancy block. While it doesn’t hold a power-up item or a coin inside, it’s got tiny recreations of iconic Super Mario 64 levels.
In all, you can build Peach’s Castle, Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool, Cool Mountain and Lethal Lava Trouble.
In addition to the distinct levels, you’ll also get to build some Super Mario microfigures. And just like the regular-sized Mario figures, these are also brick-built. You can build Mario, Yoshi, Princess Peach, and King Bob-omb, as well as a Chain Chomp, Big Bully, Mr. I, Lakitu, penguin and baby penguin.
71395 Super Mario Question Mark Block will run $169.99 and will be released on October 1st. That is a LOT of money to spend on a mustachioed tile and a printed eyeball. We need a UCS Super Mario Statue set now as a follow-up.
