I think I can honestly say that it’s been awhile since I’ve been genuinely excited to go see a movie. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is that kind of movie that has the little kid in me super-excited. Maybe ’cause it’s Spider-Man. Maybe ’cause it’s animated and looks absolutely gorgeous. Maybe ’cause it’s certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 98%. Or maybe it’s ’cause my daughter squealed when she saw the trailer and begged me to take her for her birthday. How can I deny that kind of request?
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was co-written by Phil Lord of Lord and Miller fame, the duo that brought us the excellent The LEGO Movie. The movie opens today and looks to be, well, just amazing! And funny! And did I mention gorgeous?
