Don’t click through if you want to avoid a major spoiler.
The video above comes courtesy of Entertainment News Television’s YouTube channel.
Of course what you do see in the video is something we’ve all pretty much knew from the LEGO set 76007 Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack: that Pepper Potts wears the Iron Man armor (just don’t call it Iron Maiden ’cause that’s a whole other thing). Plus, it’s labeled as a TV spot so my guess is that it’s going to run as a commercial for everyone to watch before the movie lands in theaters. But you do get to see the armor fly and attach to her body and then she goes on to save Tony from falling debris. Nice. The jury’s still out, however, as to whether or not she’s firing off a repulsor beam at the bad guys.
Though the not-really-all-that-revealing revelation of Pepper wearing the armor may confirm the answer to one question, there are sequences in this trailer and others before it that still raise more questions: the underwater scene? The winter scene where he’s dragging the armor behind him? The hall of armor exploding? Where did he store all those other drone armors? So many questions.
Whether you can consider Pepper donning the armor as a spoiler or not, I am grateful for the trailers we’ve seen thus far not giving away the entire plot of the movie the way some trailers do. May 3rd can’t come fast enough.
