In light of the terrible neck design in 21303 WALL•E, Chris McVeigh has created a modification that replaces the two-part pin and click joint with a single ball joint. I’ve done it myself and can vouch for its effectiveness; I even wrote about it in our upcoming review on 21303 WALL•E coming in the next few days. In the meantime, I’ve linked to Bricklink the parts you’ll need below to add to the existing construct. You can download his instruction file PDF from his site or mirrored here. This mod is worth doing and even if you don’t have the parts in the exact colors listed here. The finished part is pretty well hidden so you can sub in odd colors here and there. You can get the majority of the parts from another Ideas set, 21109 Exo Suit. My copy may or may not have been cannibalized for this mod. I ain’t tellin’.
