So what are we looking forward to the most with this set - the TIE, or the Stormtrooper minifig? I bet that most are going to opt for the latter, although the TIE is indeed the staple for the Imperial Navy. And the minifig might just be the best yet - the detail in the helmet is extraordinary. LEGO seems to outdo itself with the minifigs constantly. The TIE Pilot is simply a Stormie painted all black with a couple silver details on the helmet. The TIE is solid - the jet black with blue highlites really make it stand out. For those that like to argue over scale, you'll find that you'll have no arguement here. If I have one quarrel with it, it would be how the wings attach - I don't care for how LEGO handles this, it always leaves the wings mounted in a wobbly fashion. And I'm not sure about the 'refueling' stand that comes with it. TIEs hang from a rack, but I guess they could be refueled from the bottom . . . still, I would have rather had another couple Stormtroopers instead of the stand. Anyone want a Stormtrooper minifig set? So in the end, you have the TIE Fighter - I guess the only real question is: how many of these are you going to buy?
