New Star Wars In Stock at LEGO [email protected]

Postby Staff » Thu Dec 27, 2012 8:00 am

I was more or less offline the past few days enjoying the holidays with the family, so I don't know exactly when this happened but LEGO [email protected] now has almost the entire January 2013 assortment online for LEGO Star Wars; no sign yet of the Planet Series 3 sets. Looking at the list, only one set hits above $50 and that's 75005 Rancor Pit. Everything else is $49.99 or less. Dare I say that this wave seems affordable? Of course, that's not taking into account the price/piece ratio, but that's a whole other argument.

Now I know why 75013 Umbaran MHC (Mobile Heavy Cannon) never showed up at Amazon: it's listed as "Hard to Find" which means it'll either be a Walmart or Target exclusive set since 75014 Battle of Hoth is exclusive to Toys'R'Us. My money's on Target for this one.

Must have been late last night or early this morning. Had looked at [email protected] specifically to see if the new sets had posted. That was arond 9:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Battle of Hoth came in cheaper than I expected but will be waiting for a good sale before I add this to cart. Hope everyone had a great Holiday.

What?! The MHC is only $50? I thought for sure that would be a $60 set, and I thought I read somewheres that the BARC would be $30. Hmm, maybe this wave isn't so bad after all...well, not entirely.

EDIT: Looks like you also get something called Ewar's Acro-Fighter if you spend $75 or more. It's not supposed to take effect until January 1st, but apparently they'd rather not agitate those that order early. Nice.

Nice, but amazon has some of the sets cheaper and free shipping. I'll wait for May the 4th to come then order Hoth and MHC that way ill get whatever promotion Lego is offering.

It looks as if the new Star Wars sets are also now in stock at Target. They're not showing up on the Lego Star Wars index page, but if you search by name, at least the Headhunter, A-wing, and Rancor Pit are available. If you're a RedCard holder, or have a nearby store, and prefer to buy things in person, they may be more appealing than Lego or Amazon. ... A-14278684 ... A-14278686 ... A-14278688

Also, it seems as if Onions was right about the UMHC probably being a Target or Walmart exclusive, because it's showed up too: ... A-14358636

You know, I'm not at all familiar with Clone Wars, but that MHC looks to be a pretty danged cool set. Neat design, nice piece-to-price ratio and assortment of minifigures- it looks pretty nice.

It's sad that the best looking set this wave is a Clone Wars set...
