[SW:TOR] T7-01

So I just got the Republic Striker-class Starfighter set, which included LEGO's version of this little guy. For those of you who don't know him, imagine R2-D2 two-thousand years ago and you're done.

'T7 = carbon copy of famous movie character?'

(That's actually how he's subtitled in the game)

I hated the official version. Too blocky. Legs were all wrong. Nice try, but I thought to myself: 'Self, you can do better.' I'll leave it up to you folks whether the voices in my head are right about me.

Comparison (I've switched the head discs, obviously).

Back comparison; the official version does the little wheel better, but I had to give that up as the body on mine is only one stud in width instead of two.

Height compared with minifigure; mine's a bit more accurate here, though it's still a bit too tall. In-game, the little dude comes up to about mid-chest/breast height.

Considering how much taller the standard Lego astromech is next to minifigs vs the real world counterparts, the height isn't much of an issue. If there's a 1x1 tile with any sort of similar detail printed on it you could use that on the front since it looks a little plain next to the fancy official one. Other than that, I like it.

You could use a binocular piece for the torso detail.
