Snyder Reveals Another Picture Of New Batmobile

Yesterday morning, someone spotted the new Batmobile parked in a back alley somewhere in Detroit. If one of the pictures hadn’t captured the staff driver sitting in it fiddling with his phone, you could almost have imagined Batman parking it there so he could run into a 7/11 to buy breakfast burrito and a six pack of Red Bull. I suppose you still could if he just forgot to lock it and someone exploited the opportunity to grab a selfie in the Batmobile.

Presumably stinging from being beaten to the punch by a random Instagramer, Zach Snyder posted the picture below of a cleaned up and more aggressively postured Batmobile. I have to admit that it seems very similar to the one from the upcoming Arkham Knight game. I’ve always found it odd that a character who was so vehemently against the use of guns always seemed to have them on his vehicles.

As we have with the last two onscreen versions of the Batmobile, I’ve no doubt we’ll see this in LEGO form when the movie is released on March 25th. 2016. Hopefully, the the sets based on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (still sounds like the court case of the century), are better than the crop from Man of Steel.

DC Moving Ahead With A Justice League Film To Follow Batman Vs Superman

A few days back, DC announced the addition of Ray Fisher to the upcoming Batman VS Superman film in the role of Cyborg. With the latest addition of a member of DC’s super team to a supposed sequel to Man Of Steel, a lot of people seemed to have the same sentiment, “Just call it a Justice League movie already!” Well, that’s not going to happen… because they just announced that they’ll be following Bats Vs Supes with a Justice League movie, also directed by Zach Snyder.

Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman told The Wall Street Journal, ““It will be a further expansion of this universe,” also stating that “‘Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’” Since the news broke, THR has also stated the two films will be shot back to back and the Justice League will likely be released in 2017 and that announcements would probably be made at Comic Con.

So, what are your thoughts on this news? Was Man Of Steel the right film to kick off a trilogy that ends with the Justice League? Is DC moving too quickly?

At the very least, in keeping with the tone of MoS, I hope the film will just be called Justice.

Ben Affleck Cast As The Next Batman

Ben Affleck - Batman

Yep. It’s true. That is the man that will be playing Batman in the next installment of the Superman franchise. Hollywood Reporter as well as a dozen of other sites are reporting that Ben Affleck has been cast to play Batman in Zach Snyder’s next Superman movie set to open July 17, 2015. In unrelated and at the same time related news, the Warner Bros.’ Justice League movie is still tentatively scheduled for a summer 2015 release (as far as I can tell) to compete against The Avengers 2, but no date is set in stone yet and no. This will be the first time that Batman and Superman appear in a film together. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman.

Why Ben Affleck you may ask?

“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular superheroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some. His outstanding career is a testament to his talent, and we know he and Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character,” said Greg Silverman, Warner Bros.’ president of creative development and worldwide production.

Added Snyder: “Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”

Third Man Of Steel Trailer Reveals A Glimpse Of Hope

The newest (and hopefully last) trailer for Zach Snyder’s next attempt to impress/enrage comic book fans comes with the major players in Clark Kent’s life laying out his possible destiny as a symbol of hope for mankind. A lot of changes to the mythos on this one, but if Snyder can deliver even half of the experience the original film gave its audience back in ’78, it should be worth the price of admission.

Man Of Bricks Stop-Motion LEGO Trailer

Looking forward to Zach Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man Of Steel? I think Antonio Toscano, Andrea Toscano and Francesco Patanè are considering they’ve taken the time create this stop-motion LEGO version of the most recent trailer. Just more fuel for the fire making me even more curious about what LEGO has in store for us. Will we see a sneek peak of these sets at the Nuremburg Toyfair on the 30th or New York in February? I guess we’ll see…

New Man Of Steel Trailer Arrives

This new trailer gives us a look at the Man of Steel in action and I’ll admit it’s whet my appetite for more. Let us know what you think about this latest outing with the (not so) Last Son of Krypton.

Man Of Steel Teaser Arrives

I guess I should say “teasers” even though these two are identical save the differing voice overs provided by Kevin Costner’s Jonathan Kent and Russell Crowe’s Jor-El. Not much going on in the teaser really, but the film is still a long way off and if this is the tone of the final product I’ll happily ignore the goofy new unitard to check it out.

If we only get one Man Of Steel set based on what I’ve seen so far, I hope it’s bearded emo-Clark and Krypto on their super crab boat.
