TIE-ing Up Loose Ends

TIE06

After creating his X-wing earlier this month as a companion to his Y-wing, -2×4- has given his starfighters someone to fight by building his own TIE.

With the new versions of these sets trickling onto the shelves, I look forward to more MOC’s popping up. Stay tuned for the upcoming set reviews as well!

A crime has been committed and I’m here to rectify the situation. On Monday -2×4- presented his version of the iconic X-wing and it wasn’t posted. Then on Wednesday he re-shot it on a black background to really make it pop and it went unposted. Today he put up a picture of her with his custom Y-wing from 2010 and that was all I could stand, I can’t stands no more! Here they are in all their glory and my apologies to -2×4- for this taking so long. With all the great X’s & Y’s being built it’s a good thing LEGO is including some desirable minifigs in their latest versions, which I for one will probably still skip.

Star Wars Advent Calendar – Day 18

Day 18 - Y-wing
Day 18 – Y-wing

Well our Rebel Pilot has his choice of ships now. It’s like the ‘show us your rides’ portion of Cribs up in here! Star Wars Style. Seriously though this isn’t just anybodys Y-wing, it’s Anakin’s Clone Wars era long range bomber done up in its brand spanking new yellow and white colour scheme. By the time the rebels got their hands on these, they’d been through more than their fair share of used starfighter lots to be sure. In all honesty, I can’t tell whether this is OT or CW due to the tiny scale and not enough yellow here/too much there colouring. If this is supposed to be Anakin’s it needs work, if it’s not it still needs work. One thing’s certain though, it’s a Y-wing. ‘Nuff said.
