New TMNT Episode: Pulverizer Returns

S01E16_Pulverizer

Remember the episode, The Pulverizer? Of course you do! It was the episode where the Shellraiser made it’s debut. It was also the episode where the turtles meet their biggest fan, the Pulverizer. Well this week’s new episode is called Pulverizer Returns. The plot is listed as follows:

When Shredder plans to create an army of mutants, the Turtles must rely on the help of the Pulverizer.

And in case your DVR didn’t pick up on it, the show has been moved to Saturdays at 11:00am on NICK instead of the Friday night 7:00pm slot.

New Friday, New TMNT Episode: Enemy of my Enemy

Another Friday and we are blessed with a new episode of TMNT, titled “Enemy of my Enemy”. Of course, Nick.com doesn’t have the preview up online, so YouTube user AkariDreamsTMNT put up his own recorded copy. Zap2it provides the following synopsis:

After witnessing the Kraang in action, Karai realizes the seriousness of the alien threat and proposes an alliance with the Turtles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles airs tonight at 7pm on Nick.

TMNT Alternate Model Instructions

Looking for more TMNT sets? Well, we’re all out of luck there. But LEGO’s done possibly the next best thing and have created PDF instructions for alternate models for each set. Unfortunately, there is no such file for 79103 Turtle Lair Attack which is a little puzzling. 488 pieces and they couldn’t come up with anything? Download the entire zip file (about 15mb) and get re-building!

Okay’s Turtles

Lean Green Ninja Team

I simultaneously applaud and curse Okay Yaramanoglu (Oky – Space Ranger) for the above MOC. Anyone watching the cartoon will instantly recognize the above recreation of one of the opening shots from the cartoon’s intro, and for that I applaud him. But I also curse him for reminding that we’ll never get official versions of the turtles like this. This is how the turtles should have been made. Or at least have a set or two with their eyes like this. An exclusive maybe? Is that asking for too much? This is also one step closer to how I prefer my turtles. Sigh.

New TMNT Episode This Friday: Cockroach Terminator

tmnt

New week, new episode of TMNT! If the swarms of rats from the episode “I, Monster” didn’t give you the heebee jeebees, then this one should:

While trying to foil a Kraang invasion plot, the Turtles are hunted by a giant cockroach.

Eeeeeeeessshhhh. Still, can’t wait for it! Unfortunately, there’s no clip on Nick.com yet, but if one shows up I’ll update this post. “Cockroach Terminator” airs this Friday at 7pm on Nick.

Heroes In A Half Scale. Tiny Turtle Power!

Turtle Party Wagon vs Shreddermobile

Turtles are where it’s at right now and I hope our Teenage Mutant Ninja Vignettes: Heroes in a Half Scene Building Contest has those creative juices oozing. This mini tribute to the full-size original toys by LegoJalex has been in my “to blog” for over a week, but I’d say now would be an appropriate time. It’s a fun build that makes me once again nostalgic for the old cartoon, even if the Shreddermobile was a ridiculous toy. I’m still waiting on the latest episode of the Nicktoon… and I was all caught up too.

Time to get building.

M.R. Yoder’s TMNT Apple Core

TMNT Apple Core: Four Corners (wip)

So, yeah, I’m really enjoying the new TMNT cartoon. And when I ran across the above MOC (thanks to ninnymuggins), I was thrilled. M.R. Yoder (yoderism) is reconstructing the underground turtles’ lair in the sewers of New York along with a section of the city above ground all the way up to April O’neil’s apartment. It’s a work in progress, but even at this stage, it’s coming along rather nicely. Check out the full flickr set for more pics.

Amazon Delays January 2013 Shipments

Sad_Anime_girl_crying_2

Amazon has put all of the January 2013 assortments on pre-order status with a shipping date set for December 31. Even Galaxy Squad and that stuff was on sale days ahead of every other theme. This is speculation on my part but it’s most likely because Toys’R'Us complained about losing sales to Amazon since Amazon doesn’t have a holiday price gouge markup that TRU does. That and it probably violated TRU’s first-to-market contract. Whatever. Hope you ordered when you did. Shop@Home seems to be the only place to get some of the new stuff right now, like TMNT, Galaxy Squad, and Friends at MSRP, but you’ll be paying for express shipping in time for Christmas.

Or you could be insane and walk into a Toys’R'Us store during the last week before the holiday and attempt to get a price match.

Or just wait a few weeks and they’ll be everywhere.

Update: I should clarify that all NEW orders will be delayed until the end of the month. Any orders placed before today should still ship out as normal.
