[NA] January 2012 LEGO Star Wars Now Available

Finally, after much waiting (too much, if you ask me) the latest wave of LEGO Star Wars sets are officially available in North America.

You can get a hold of these shiny, new sets via LEGOShop and Amazon. LEGOShop currently has the entire wave in stock, but you’ll want to note, the exclusive poster promotion ended on January 29th. Amazon, while missing the retailer exclusive sets, offers free shipping, miniscule discount, and no sales tax in some areas. The sets should also be available at brick and mortar retailers as well (with the exception of Walmart, apparently). Current availability will vary, so you might have to check with your favorite retailer for further information. And if you want to save $5, Amazon.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com are listing 9492 TIE Fighter at $49.99, or $5 off the MSRP of $54.99. This discount should apply in stores as well.

Check out the threads in our forums for discussion and links directly to the sets.

[USA] Fred Meyer Buy 2, Get 1 Free LEGO This Week + 10% Off

Starting today at Fred Meyer, all LEGO (excluding LEGO Friends and LEGO games) are buy two, get one free. As indicated by the picture above, LEGO Minifigures Series 6 is showing up at the Northwestern chain, making this an excellent time to pick them up. Other new sets are starting to trickle in as well, but don’t expect any of the new Star Wars sets. This deal stacks with the weekly “10% Off Home” coupon making the deal even better. The sale ends Saturday, January 21st.

[USA] More Target.com Clearance Deals

Target.com has dropped the prices on a bunch of sets, including 8128 Cad Bane’s Speeder to $25.48, 8093 Plo Koon’s Jedi Starfighter to $11.58, and a super low price of $8.98 for the 8085 Freeco Speeder. If you need a half-price Hoth Wampa, they’re now $19.99.

Also, if you need more Prince of Persia parts, 7570 The Ostrich Race is now $6.98!!

Special thanks to yakkotank for sleuthiness and truthiness!

[USA] All LEGO 30% Off at Fred Meyer 12/10

If you live in the Northwestern US and happened to get today’s newspaper, you might have noticed a very nice coupon in the Fred Meyer circular. Saturday, December 10th only, all LEGO is 30% off. What makes this coupon even better is no limit, so you can buy as many sets as you want. The ad also lists LEGO Cars 8639 Big Bentley Bust Out for 30% off, making it less than $35 with the coupon. If you don’t subscribe to a newspaper, but live in an area with a Fred Meyer, they commonly keep the latest circulars near the entrances of the stores.

Amazon LEGO Lightning Deals 11/24

Black Friday is upon us, so it’s another round of deals at Amazon.com. Since it is Black Friday (well, Thursday) the deals should be good, right? We’ll find out starting at 3:00 PM PST when the first of the LEGO deals begin with one of the year’s best sets: Anakin’s and Sebulba’s Podracers. At 4:00 and 5:00 PM PST it’s a couple of Pirates of the Caribbean sets, and finally at 6:00 PM PST, it’s a Cars set. Thanks Qzak!

More Amazon LEGO Lightning Deals 11/17?

Amazon appears to be having another round of pre-Black Friday Lightning Deals and judging by many of the descriptions, LEGO (Star Wars, Creator?) may once again be featured, though no guarantees. If you have the patience and/or the time, it might be worth checking out over the course of the day. Or not, if it’s anything like the rather disappointing showing from earlier in the week. Thanks forum member UOldPirate for the tip.

Tesco in the UK “Buy 3 for 2″ This Week

Although supply issues may limit the UK fans from really taking full advantage of this sale, this week through April 6th there is a “Buy 3 for 2″ sale going on at UK Tesco stores in-stores and online.  I am not 100% sure, but I think that means that its a Buy 2 Get 1 Free BOGO-type sale.  Happy hunting!

PS: Thanks to bigospedros in the forums for the tip!

And More Sales News: This Time With SW/ToyStory!

Got some better news that that TRU BOGO here for you all:

K-Mart:

They have a BOGO sale of their own, but its a Buy 2 Get 1 Free on all LEGO.  All LEGO includes Toy Story, Star Wars, and what Indy sets remain.  This is good online and in store, so if you, like me, no longer have a KMart nearby, you can still cash in on this deal.  If you buy three of the same item, it works out to 1/3 off, so not too bad.

Target:

Online and in-store, most Star Wars sets are 10% off and the 8085 Freeco Speeder is 20%.  Ho-hum choice for the 20% off item, but 10% off 7753 Pirate Tank isn’t too bad considering that this will likely be discontinued after this season and become hard to find.

TRU BOGO 50% In-store and online this week

If we haven’t given you enough reasons in the last few weeks to frequent your local TRU, here is another:  This week, both online and in-stores, Toys’R’Us is having a Buy One Get One 50% off sale (aka BOGO 50).  While I considered not posting this sale, mainly because it excludes licensed themes including Star Wars and Toy Story (our focus), I feel this is still a good deal and worth sharing.   As an aware fan of LEGO like you are, you’ll know this sale essentially cancels the TRU markup on most sets, so if you’re in the market for older hard to find sets often easily picked up at a TRU or non-licensed TRU exclusives,  here is a chance at a small but worthwhile discount.  Good luck!
