Rebel’s Kanan gets his Hair Dyed

14991555019_c07634dbf5_z

Eagle-eyed Flickr user Mike Ryffranck posted this a couple of days back, highlighting that apparently LEGO made the hair for generic hero guy #3 in Star Wars Rebels (or, Kanan) black instead of brown. The change goes beyond the hair, as well, as the goatee and eyebrows have also changed color on the face.

I guess they’ve either noticed the oversight, or more likely a few people complained about it and they’re working to fix it. Your mileage may vary, but if you’re concerned about the hair, you can try to contact them, but per Mike, they are currently backordered. I’d expect them to be fixed in the next production run of The Ghost (if it hasn’t been done already, since the replacement parts are out there and can be purchased on eBay).

To be honest, I don’t care about the color (and hadn’t noticed), but I’m not one to turn down getting the right parts from LEGO. Guess it’s time to go fill out some customer service forms…

LEGO Puts On Blindfold, Asks For Your Opinion On SDCC

LEGO is seeking your input on your experience at the San Diego Comic Con. If you were there for all four days, surely you witnessed some of the same shenanigans that I did. Were you there they moved the line to the other side of the entrance? How about when they let everyone line up and then switched the direction? How about on the last day when they had FAR less than their promised allotment of 600 exclusives to sell? Of course it wasn’t all bad. There was that one day that Adam West showed up for two minutes giving fans a chance to meet him. Or that one display case where they did the daily reveal and how crystal clear it was to look inside. Head on over to Survey Monkey and give them your opinion on your experience at their booth. And heck, while we’re at it, if you want to drop us a line or add a comment to our SDCC megathread on what you liked and disliked about their booth, I’d love to hear it too.

Star Wars Advent Calendar – Day 20

Day 20 - TIE Fighter
Day 20 – TIE Fighter

WTH is this? Wow, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to any of this calendar’s previous entries I may have spoken negatively about. I’m looking at you Imperial Shuttle and Mouse Droid, I’m sorry. In keeping with the festive nature I will give it this: If we were playing a game of Creationary and you had to build a TIE Fighter using as few pieces as possible while keeping it recognizable, I would applaud you if you came up with this. Otherwise the designer of this has earned only my scorn and ridicule. When I think about all the extra little bits that were left over up until this point it seriously ticks me off. In case you’re wondering I shot the “model” in such a way to show how truly miniscule it really is. I’m still shaking my fist at it even now. For shame!
