Snyder Reveals The Batmobile & Batsuit From Man Of Steel Sequel

Behold the latest Bat-vehicle destined to be immortalized in LEGO form. Zach Snyder teased the unveiling yesterday with the pic above and went all out with a first view of the jacked up Batfleck in the obviously The Dark Knight Returns inspired suit.

Personally, this the best thing I’ve seen or heard regarding the upcoming sequel, due in May of 2016. What do you think?

Jor El Minifigure Now Available

LEGO Shop@Home has a promotion for most of the month of June where you can get a Jor El promotional minifigure. Now I don’t know if in the movie Jor El’s outfit is actually darker than Superman, but he came out much darker than the promo image and even the package art. See pic below. Anyways, from now until June 25th, just head on over to LEGO Shop@Home or a LEGO Brand Retail location and make a purchase of at least $75. Tiny Russell Crowe will automatically be added to your cart for free! Not only that but you’ll also score free shipping! That’s right, all orders of $75 or more will receive free standard shipping.

And speaking of free shipping, LEGO Shop@Home will now offer free shipping on all orders of $75 or more FOREVER! No expiration date and no code required.

Details on 5001623 Jor-El Polybag, June In Store Events

June Store Calendar Page 1

Some details have emerged about obtaining the Jor-El minifig we reported on earlier this week. This post on Eurobricks shows the June store calendar with Jor-El displayed as one of the highlighted items. It will be a LEGO Brand Retail promotion and the only way to get it is to make a purchase in store or at LEGO Shop@Home for $75 or more. There’s nothing listed about the purchase requiring Super Heroes sets, so any purchase should net you the minifigure. Offer is good from June 1-25 or while supplies last.

There is one other item of interest on the calendar. On Wednesday June 19, they will be hosting a special in-store building event where you can build the Man of Steel. This is in addition to their regular Monthly Mini Build. Build event is open to kids age 6-14 only and limited to approximately 150 per store.

And finally, on Friday June 22, the monthly LEGO Club meeting will be DC Super Heroes themed.

Surprise! Jor-El Polybag Pops Up On eBay

Jor-El Polybag pops up on eBay

It sort of came out of no where, but a Man of Steel promotional polybag isn’t really shocking. It’s yet another figure to pop up on eBay ahead of release and I think it’s a bit pricey for a figure that includes the same El family underwear that comes in every Man of Steel set. Works out to about 50 bucks for a new bearded head print. At least it’s a nice beard.

We’ll keep you posted on when and how this one will be released.

Third Man Of Steel Trailer Reveals A Glimpse Of Hope

The newest (and hopefully last) trailer for Zach Snyder’s next attempt to impress/enrage comic book fans comes with the major players in Clark Kent’s life laying out his possible destiny as a symbol of hope for mankind. A lot of changes to the mythos on this one, but if Snyder can deliver even half of the experience the original film gave its audience back in ’78, it should be worth the price of admission.

Man Of Bricks Stop-Motion LEGO Trailer

Looking forward to Zach Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man Of Steel? I think Antonio Toscano, Andrea Toscano and Francesco Patanè are considering they’ve taken the time create this stop-motion LEGO version of the most recent trailer. Just more fuel for the fire making me even more curious about what LEGO has in store for us. Will we see a sneek peak of these sets at the Nuremburg Toyfair on the 30th or New York in February? I guess we’ll see…

New Man Of Steel Trailer Arrives

This new trailer gives us a look at the Man of Steel in action and I’ll admit it’s whet my appetite for more. Let us know what you think about this latest outing with the (not so) Last Son of Krypton.

Man Of Steel Teaser Arrives

I guess I should say “teasers” even though these two are identical save the differing voice overs provided by Kevin Costner’s Jonathan Kent and Russell Crowe’s Jor-El. Not much going on in the teaser really, but the film is still a long way off and if this is the tone of the final product I’ll happily ignore the goofy new unitard to check it out.

If we only get one Man Of Steel set based on what I’ve seen so far, I hope it’s bearded emo-Clark and Krypto on their super crab boat.

LEGO to Produce Man of Steel Sets

Man of Steel

According to this article on, LEGO is set to produce sets based on Zack Snyder’s upcoming reboot of Superman, titled Man of Steel with Henry Cavill donning the suit. The movie is slated for release next summer. If history is any indication, we may see some sets based on the earlier Christopher Reeve era films to be released as a collection before any sets that are tied to the Snyder film. There will also most likely a global on-shelf date for all Man of Steel related merchandise. We’ll keep you posted as more info becomes available.

Thanks to Ben for writing it in.

Man Of Steel Mosaic

Christopher Reeve Superman Mosaic

Who is YOUR Superman? Was Brandon Routh’s turn in Superman Returns your first movie experience or maybe you prefered Dean Cain, George Reeves or even Tom Welling based on the first television series you enjoyed. I’m sure there are more than a few that think of the voice of Tim Daly when the think of the big blue boy scout, but I like many others will judge all Supermen on the performance of Christopher Reeve. The Creative Brick Company has also created a series of mosaics including everyone’s favourite little green man, Yoda. Regardless, this is my personal favourite as Reeve will always be the Man of Steel to me. My hope is that they will make the plans for these available for download in the future, at which time this will be built, framed and hung in my house faster than you can say “Up, Up and Away!”.
