LEGO Day at Gamestop

If you’re looking for something to do today, Saturday June 7th, Gamestop is hosting a LEGO Day at their retail locations offering deals on all things LEGO. Some of the older games priced at $19.99 are now 2 for $29.99. The most recent games, LEGO The Hobbit, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and The LEGO Movie, are $10 off. And lastly, there are a few giveaways to take note of. Pre-order LEGO Batman 3 and get a free exclusive poster, get a free minifigure with any LEGO purchase, get a free LEGO Chima card (whatever the heck that is) for the iOS app with any LEGO purchase, and finally get a free Super Pack DLC with the purchase of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. You’ll also get 10% extra credit if you’re a Power Up Rewards member towards the purchase of a LEGO Game.

I’m headed down there to see if I can make amends for my laziness by not getting Good Morning Bilbo Baggins and Western Emmet the first time around.

Thor: The Dark World DLC Pack For LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

Lego Thor Poster

Remember this great Thor: The Dark World poster we posted the other day? Well it turns out it isn’t just there to look pretty (unlike much of the cast of Thor: The Dark World) and just a day later it was announced that an eight character DLC pack of Asgardian goodness will be available the day of release. There seems to be no info on what the characters will be, but if you subtract the Thor and Loki figs from that poster (since they’ve already been confirmed) it just happens to leave eight characters. See kids, math can be fun if it leads to playing with Natalie Portman. As, playing AS Natalie Portman.

Could there still be even MORE information to come from this weekends NYCC? I guess we’ll find out soon.

Galactus Lands In New LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Trailer

Marvel has launched a full trailer for the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game and it ties the overall story together with the bits we’ve seen up to this point quite well. They’ve also posted nineteen new screen shots that look to be cropped suspiciously to Facebook cover size, feature some of the previously mentioned but unseen characters and give us a peek at the movie inspired SHIELD helicarrier seen below.

[SDCC] LEGO Events at Comic Con

Comic Con Logo

Once again we compile all of the LEGO related events happening at Comic Con. In addition to whatever LEGO has going on in their booth, and there will be a lot, there are a few additional items of interest to catch. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an LEGO Star Wars-themed panels this year. And with that, on to the list.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Confirmed for Next Gen Systems

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Box Art

News comes out today from Electronic Theatre confirming that the upcoming LEGO Super Heroes game is headed for next generation gaming consoles. If you’ve pre-ordered your Xbox One or PS4 and wanted to play this game on those systems, you’re in luck. Also, the picture above is what the box art is going to be for the game for all systems.

We have links to the Walmart pre-order pages on the upper right hand side of this page. The links go to Xbox 360, PS3 and WiiU versions of the game. You’ll get Iron Patriot if you pre-order it. I just checked their site and they don’t have pages up yet for the Xbox One or PS4 version but I’ll update that as soon as they do, assuming the pre-order bonus is still valid.

The game features over 100 playable characters and will be released later this year.

LEGO Marvel Game Grand Central Station Cut Scenes

This popped up on YouTube a few months ago but I’m just now getting around to discovering it. The two and a half minute video shows some of the cut scenes used for the game. It prominently features Iron Man, The Hulk, Spider-Man, Sandman, and Abomination.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: The Video Game releases this fall on all current game systems. Pre-order your console version from Walmart.com to receive Iron Patriot, still the stupidest promo tie-in minifigure choice ever made.

LEGO Marvel Game Mosaic

LEGO Marvel Mosaic

Also showing up on Marvel’s Facebook page is this gem of a mosaic. The imagery should be familiar to you as it is the main graphic used to promote the game. This mosaic made an appearance on the show floor at E3. I wonder what it would take to recreate it…. hmmm…

New LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Game Trailer From E3

This comes courtesy of reader Ben Doney. You get to see a little bit of Mr. Fantastic and The Human Torch from Fantastic Four in action as well as Sandman and some giant robot looking thing.

The game comes out later this year with some sites pegging the date as October 31, 2013. Remember, pre-order your Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii U copy from Walmart.com and get a free Iron Patriot minifig as a bonus.
