Super Heroes Unite! November Winners Announced

The final winners of LEGO’s Super Heroes Unite! contest have been revealed! And they’re mostly videos, which is a little one-sided if you ask me, especially considering some of the phenomenal entries that weren’t moving pictures. Anyway, big congrats to November’s 1st place winners, Kris Theorin (above) and Paul Hollingsworth (below), who will be getting their hands on the entire DC Universe line-up of LEGO Super Heroes and a maquette. Hit the link to check out all other winners including the grand prize winner, Dan Glasure, who also happened to be one of October’s 1st place winners. I guess that guy’s going to be loaded up on LEGO Super Heroes sets. Also, does anyone think they’ll do another contest for this summer’s Marvel sets?

Super Heroes Unite! October Winners Announced

The entry period for LEGO’s Super Heroes Unite! Contest may be over, but the excitement continues as the latest round of winners are announced! Coming in first place for October is Dan Glasure with the stop-motion video “It’s Just Your Imagination” and artwork by Stanley Iu, “How to Make LEGO Better.” Congratulations to both who get to take home a lovely (I’m sure, since I haven’t actually seen it) porcelain maquette, not to mention the entire 2012 DC Collection of LEGO Super Heroes sets!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of October’s winners here and stay tuned next month for the exciting conclusion as the final round of winners–including the grand prize winner–are announced.

New LEGO Batman Video Game in 2012

In a recent article in the Los Angeles Times, the president of Warner Interactive revealed a few upcoming projects. One of the projects, which should excite fans of Traveller’s Tales LEGO Video Game series, is a sequel to 2008′s LEGO Batman: The Videogame. Not much else is known at this point and there is no release date yet, but with several LEGO video games due out over the next year, notably LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (Nov. 11, 2011) and LEGO Super Heroes: The Video Game (June 2012), gamers should have their brick-loving hands full.

Best Buy Saves You $50 On Xbox360 Bundle with Pure, LEGO Batman

For the holidays, Microsoft is offering a new Xbox360 Elite bundle with two video games, Pure and LEGO Batman for $299 (via Amazon). Not sure about Pure, but LEGO Batman was a great game and a terrible game at the same time. Great since it follows the tried-and-true gameplay of LEGO Star Wars’ hack’n'slash, and terrible because there are no more LEGO Batman sets to be had. And believe me, once you’re done playing the game, you’re gonna want some sets to play with. Anyways, if you’re on the fence about getting the bundle for you or your family, Best Buy is sweetening the deal by offering a $50 discount on the bundle plus an extra Xbox 360 wireless controller, an HDMI A/V cable, and a Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit, all for $369.99. You can purchase online for delivery or pick up at a local store. Not sure when this deal is supposed to end.
