empire-gotg2

Let’s start this off with the least spoilerish thing on the list and those interested can check after the jump for the rest. Empire has two character covers for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy and the one above gives a much better look at the films antagonists, the good guy cover is mostly more of the same. I’ve no doubt we’ll start seeing Korath, Ronan and Nebula popping in cosplay a lot more very soon.

Daredevil Cast For Netflix Original Series

Charlie Cox

Meet the new Matt Murdock, Charlie Cox. I quite enjoyed him in Stardust, though I’ll be honest and say Robert DeNiro’s performance made that film for me. This news after Drew Goddard stepped down to be replaced by Steven S. DeKnight as the series Executive Producer and Showrunner. Here’s the release from Marvel.com:

Marvel is proud to announce that acclaimed actor Charlie Cox has joined “Marvel’s Daredevil,” an all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015. Best known for his acclaimed work in “Boardwalk Empire” and “Stardust,” Cox will play Matt Murdock, the lead role in this all-new Marvel Television series. Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus,” “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer,” “Angel”) and Drew Goddard (“Cabin in the Woods,” “Lost,” “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer,” in addition to writing the first two episodes of “Marvel’s Daredevil), along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”).

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios.

Goddard is still mentioned in the release, so he may still be involved in some capacity other then writing regardless of his focus on the Amazing Spider-man spin-off The Sinister Six.

Galactus Lands In New LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Trailer

Marvel has launched a full trailer for the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game and it ties the overall story together with the bits we’ve seen up to this point quite well. They’ve also posted nineteen new screen shots that look to be cropped suspiciously to Facebook cover size, feature some of the previously mentioned but unseen characters and give us a peek at the movie inspired SHIELD helicarrier seen below.
