Lego Star Wars: Visual Dictionary 50% Off

Borders is having a 50% off sale on most Star Wars books, DVDs, CDs, and more (LEGO not included). This is good online and in-store with coupon. Rewards membership is required for in-store purchases, but you can get free shipping for online orders $25 or more. This sale runs through 7/26.

For those of you who haven’t gotten LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary, this sale brings it down to a cool $10.99. If you just want it for the exclusive minifig, this makes buying the book cheaper than the lowest Bricklink prices for just the minifig. There are plenty of other great Star Wars books on sale, so throw a couple in your cart and you can get that free shipping easily.

Of course, Amazon is matching the price, and it qualifies for free shipping with a $25 order over there too.

EDIT: Here’s the coupon for in-store purchases.

[US] Select Star Wars, Indiana Jones On Sale Amazon.com

Amazon has some pretty good prices for a few Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets.

Star Wars:

Indiana Jones:

Other:

All discounts are at least 22% off. The two Clone Wars sets seem to be perpetually on sale; they must have pallets and pallets of those sets. Not sure why, they’re both pretty nice builds. Anyways, with free shipping and no tax (to most states), these are probably the best deals you’ll find. Of note, 10186 General Grievous, 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull, and 10181 Eiffel Tower are all sold out at LEGO S@H so this may be the last chance you have to pick up these sets on the cheap.

Visual Dictionary Delayed

Amazon updated the release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary. It’s now set to ship between October 19 and October 23. If you’ve placed a preorder for the product through Amazon, you may need to sign into your account and approve of the delay. And if you haven’t pre-ordered yet, I have to ask, why not? It’s the safest way to guarantee yourself the lowest-priced copy, even if the price lowers again before the release date. It’s also the best way to get the exclusive minifig that’s included (identity of the minifig yet to be revealed).

Sale Items @ Amazon.com

I got an email today detailing a LEGO Sale on Amazon.com.

All sale prices are 25% off. As far as I know, Amazon does not charge sales tax (yet) for most states and they also offer free shipping on orders over $25. If you’re a parts monkey, the Eiffel Tower is your best bet weighing in at over 3,400 pieces for $150.
