Review: 75008 TIE Bomber & Asteroid Field

1. Overview

The last planet in series 3 takes a detour away from the central film of the PT trilogy to visit the much stronger second film of the OT as we hunt for what is arguably the most infamous ship (at least in the mind of one smuggler) in the Star Wars universe.
Let’s see if this set sends series 3 out with a whimper or a bang.

Star Wars LEGO Toy Fair Videos Are Live

The exclusive demonstration videos of the new Star Wars sets at the New York Toy Fair are now uploaded and ready to view over on FBTB’s Youtube channel. The demonstrations were graciously provided by Erik Varszegi and include a closer look at each set on the tail end of the videos. BN.com Pre-sells Planets Series 3 For Real This Time

Unlike the Target DPCI number mix up, this deal is for real. Barnes&Noble.com is pre-selling all three of the Planet Series 3 assortment. Asking price is $9.85 with an expected ship date of March 28th. I’d expect the other retailers to get their allotment on or about the same time.

Thanks again go to DarthBuilder for the tip.

Star Wars Planet Series 3 Spotted In The Wild

Forum member DarthBuilder reports finding one of the newest planet sets on Target.com: 75008 TIE Bomber & Asteroid Field. It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again: Asteroid Field isn’t a planet. Space isn’t a planet. Why not make the planet brown and print some craters and other terrain on it to, you know, make it look like an actual asteroid. Though their website isn’t actually selling it yet, you can use the page to find it in store at your local store. Asking price is $9.99.
