Amazon’s 20% or More off Sale on LEGO Star Wars

Amazon’s running some kind of wacky sale. I hesitated reporting on this sale because a) it’s only 20% and b) I usually find out about it only for it to revert to a higher price before I hit the publish button. Some of these deals seem to be sticking around though.

9497 Republic Striker-class Starfighter on sale for $33.13, 26% off MSRP of $44.99
75004 Z-95 Headhunter is 20% off at $39.97, down from $49.99
9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor is 21% off at $70.97, down from $89.99
9499 Gungan Sub is 20% off at $55.96, down from $69.99
75001 Republic Troopers vs Sith Troopers is 20% off at $10.44, down from $12.99
~~Amazon still has 9496 Desert Skiff marked down 22% down to $19.44.~~ They’ve also lowered the price once again on 9516 Jabba’s Palace down a whopping 27% to $87.97.
And finally, a reminder that 75003 A-wing Starfighter is 20% off at $20.00 even all week long.

75003 A-wing Starfighter Discounted 20%

Target has put on sale their entire LEGO Star Wars catalog for this week. Savings range around 10%, nothing great but they do have 75003 A-wing Fighter on sale for 20% off at an even $20. Deal is good all week long until Saturday March 23. Got a REDCard? Save an additional 5% and get free shipping to boot.

In typical Amazon fashion, they’ve price-matched the set. If you live in a state where Amazon doesn’t charge sales tax, this may be a better deal for you if you have a Prime account or pad your order to hit the Free Super Saver Shipping threshold.

New Star Wars In Stock at LEGO Shop@Home

I was more or less offline the past few days enjoying the holidays with the family, so I don’t know exactly when this happened but LEGO Shop@Home now has almost the entire January 2013 assortment online for LEGO Star Wars; no sign yet of the Planet Series 3 sets. Looking at the list, only one set hits above $50 and that’s 75005 Rancor Pit. Everything else is $49.99 or less. Dare I say that this wave seems affordable? Of course, that’s not taking into account the price/piece ratio, but that’s a whole other argument.

Now I know why 75013 Umbaran MHC (Mobile Heavy Cannon) never showed up at Amazon: it’s listed as “Hard to Find” which means it’ll either be a Walmart or Target exclusive set since 75014 Battle of Hoth is exclusive to Toys’R'Us. My money’s on Target for this one.

75005 Rancor Pit, Others Now Available at Amazon

Did you pick up the $99 dollar deal on 9516 Jabba’s Palace from yesterday’s mention? Did you wish you had 75005 Rancor Pit to go underneath it? Well you’re in luck since Amazon just stocked up on the big ugly beast. Price is $59.99 with free shipping and no tax to most states.

A quick search yields more 2013 sets are available:

75000 Clone Troopers vs Droidekas $12.99
75001 Republic Troopers vs Sith Troopers $12.99
75002 AT-RT $19.99

No sign of that 75003 A-wing Starfighter set or the 75013 Umbaran MHC (Mobile Heavy Cannon), yet but keep your eyes peeled. It might show up in the next few days.

TRU Has a Decent Sale; Also, 2013 Sets Spotted

The headline is tru. (See what i did there?) Toys’R'Us is actually having a decent sale despite their usual holiday price gouging mark up. Example: 7879 Hoth Echo Base MSRP is $89.99, TRU price is normally $94.99, sale price is $63.64, about a 30% discount. Only the items on this page seem to qualify but the kicker is that most of the sets on that page are actually pretty cool.

In other TRU news, it seems that 2013 Ninjago and TRU sets have been hitting the shelves. Proof? Proof is below. Assuming the price tags are correct, that A-wing set is marked at $27.99, so I’m thinking it’s either $19.99 or $24.99 regular MSRP.

Dutch etailer bol.com listed all of the January 2013 assortment for Star Wars on their site and included some pretty good sized images. I’ve rehosted them on our flickr account and posted them below.
