Toys’R’Us Stores Host Master Builder Event

TRU Master Builder Event

This Saturday all Toys’R’Us stores will be hosting a LEGO Movie themed building event. Visit your local store to build your very own “Master Builder”. The banner says the “mini Master Builder inspired by Metalbeard.” Sounds like you’re building mini Metalbeard to me! Offer valid while supplies last obviously and judging by the previous events you’ll need to get there early to score. If it is indeed mini Metalbeard, I’d be curious to know whether or not it’s the same version as the one from the Sea Cow set. Maybe I’ll just take my little over to my local store and see if we can get in on the free LEGO action. If you haven’t picked up The LEGO Movie game yet, they’ll be handing out $10 off coupons for it. Of course, if they were smart, they’d hand out coupons to buy sets.

Event is scheduled for this Saturday June 14 from 12noon to 2pm.

Martian Manhunter Now Available

5002126 Martian Manhunter

LEGO Shop@Home’s promotion for March gives us all an opportunity to get Martian Manhunter J’onn J’onzz. All you’ll need to do is hit up the Shop@Home site, and purchase a minimum of $75 worth of LEGO product. It will automagically be added to your cart with no coupon code required. Good news is that once you hit that $75 minimum, you’ll also score free shipping. Offer is valid from March 1 until March 31 or while supplies last.

A number of new products have hit the site, including LEGO Star Wars, and some new Batman sets. There are still The LEGO Movie sets too, and the 70810 MetalBeard’s Sea Cow is now available for general non-VIP member purchase.

70810 MetalBeard’s Sea Cow Revealed

This is a bit spoilerish so I’ll hide the non-blacked out image until past the jump, but thanks to this post on Eurobricks, we now have a clear image of 70810 MetalBeard’s Sea Cow. The current speculation is that it is a LEGO D2C (Direct to Consumer) set, possibly pitting the set in the $200 dollar range give or take a few bucks. More news to come as we get it:
