I present this because I'm actually conflicted as to whether or not it's an improvement. On the one hand, bigger is better, but on the other, the more I look at pictures of Interceptors, the more I start to think that the cockpit ball on the official set is a little too small in relation to the other dimensions, especially the length of the wings.

This image from the Star Wars Technical Commentaries page is a good illustration of what I'm on about.
