This model is part of what I call my "Episode 3 Collection", refering to 5 models I completed in a very short time for a movie theatre lobby Episode 3 display. I'd like to preface this by stating that this is, without a doubt, the single silliest vehicle anybody has ever designed for any purpose. Not just one completely impractical mode of locomotion, but TWO! Legs AND a giant wheelie thing! It's a wonder it doesn't also have a pogo stick built in there somewhere.


Having said that, this is also one of the most unique vehicles ever designed, which is why I was drawn to building it.


From the film, it appears to be only slightly taller than Greivous himself, so this is something like 2 or 3x over classic UCS scale.


In case you're wondering, no, the wheels don't roll. Those things are really hard to attach, and in this case I had to to it only from one side.


All the spokes around the wheels are mounted on 1x2 grille bricks. A normal brick is slightly too large to fit in without marking up the wheel, but the bevelled edges on the grille bricks make it just the right size if you put it in the right way.


The only real problem here is that I won't be able to keep this thing intact or work on it after the theatre display comes down, as the hailfire wheels are on loan from another builder.
