Original version

It might look a less dramatic rebuild than, say, the B-wing, and I guess it is, but it's still
been entirely rebuilt. It's now sturdier, lighter, and less prone to sagging at the seams.

These new round slopes, and the shorter scope of the front half of the ship
make it look a lot rounder. The old version looked a bit flat, especially in photos.

Alas, there's still no way to do 6x6 round shapes that actually look round. I think the
engines do a pretty good job of faking it. Of course, the real answer to that problem is to
build the ship so the 4x4 or 8x8 cylinders work for the engines, but I wanted my A-wing to
match my other UCS fighters, so that didn't really help.

The windscreen starts a little too far back from the nose, but it's about as good as it'll get
I think. This version doesn't "gel" as well as the old windscreen, but the shape and the
color are more accurate.

The central red section is 9 studs wide, so the front half is actually attached to the rear
half at a 1/2 stud offset. Kinda funny that the whole construction of the ship is based around that
little slit up front.
