I apologize in advance for the size of these images. Any smaller and they just didn't do justice to this model.

This is my UCS AT-AT, and it is by far the largest custom I've ever done. At 29 inches tall, and almost 3 feet long, it's taller than my B-wing. It's bigger than a Bull Mastiff. It has a more commanding presence and takes up more space than the Star Destroyer set that died to create it. I know there are bigger MOCs out there, but this is a quantum leap in size for me, so please excuse if I sound a little too pleased with myself.

Interior and details

The idea for this model came to me after a long day at a LEGO show being swarmed by children; take the basic design of the official AT-AT, and make it UCS scale using the parts bounty of my ISD.

The legs are fully posable, but to be honest, the model is so heavy, and moving the legs such a pain that the posability doesn't get much of a work-out. The little hip joint panels you can see here move up and down when you move the legs back and forth.

You can see here that the head turns, also. There's a worm screw inside the body that controls it and holds it in place. The main purpose of this is to give me control over the weight of the head and remove one more variable from the balancing act. No elevation control for the head, though.

A size comparison shot with my scout walker. Sorry about the glare.

I wanted to show it with the snowspeeder, but alas, if you use the official measurements for both craft, they won't look right together. Plus my snowspeeder is in a slightly larger scale.

Heather makes a friend. Let's all say it together now, "Nice model! And the AT-AT's not bad either!" You can see here the legs in their default position.

And one last shot for the road. Here it is guarding the Imperial Power Station from those pesky Rebels.
