I think in all honesty it should stick with Star Wars. Now, I can't truly compare with before and after the changeover from the start of the year, but from what I understand, before then, most non-SW Lego talk was discouraged, but now, all Lego talk is open (in its own forum) and Star Wars talk is allowed in the LSW section. I only recently got back into Lego, and it was Star Wars that did it for me, so I liked it the way it was. Since I'm also a Star Wars fan, I felt that there were enough topics to discuss to keep it worth checking in daily. I don't really care to go join another forum like Rebelscum.com or theforce.net for Star Wars news and talk, especially since I just don't have the time or desire to get deep into Expanded Universe stuff right now. And Let's be honest, for the most part, Lego news comes in spurts with the set waves.
On the flip-side, Star Wars got me back into Lego as a whole, and I like the new color scheme. While I can't help but think the change is still pretty tongue-in-cheek (mostly because I don't think that there's yet enough PM stuff to support a vibrant community) I like variety. Back in my younger days, I NEVER purchased anything that wasn't Space, or when I got a bit older, I threw some Technic and Model Team in with it. Now, I find myself interested in literally every single theme. Heck, last night I checked out some Paradisa sets, just to look at them. My point being, I think it would almost be fun if the theme of focus changed every month, at least for a little while, to expand horizons. Always keep a Star Wars forum around, because that's what the site's intent was. But maybe in May, do a Pirates building contest, then in June, Castle, or whatever.
So, in light of all of this, I'm choosing to not participate in the poll, as it's a little too black or white for how I feel about the subject.
Just my 7 cents...
