10243 Parisian Restaurant

Now that the clock has struck past midnight on the Eastern Seaboard, LEGO Shop@Home has now made available 10243 Parisian Restaurant for immediate purchase and shipping (after the New Year's Day holiday anyway). The Parisian Restaurant is the latest addition to the modular building series and has 2,469 parts for $159.99 USD.

Love this set and can't wait to get it tomorrow when the Austin store opens.

What are the lines and inventory like at launch days like these? Aka: Is getting there 15-30min in advance sufficient, or do they occasionally run out right off the bat if you aren't in line Xhrs ahead of time?

Yes, I'm sure every town/store/launch day is different... Just curious about y'all's experiences.

Thanks!

I just bought mine at the Lawrenceville, Georgia store. No line, no wait. While they seemed to be selling steadily they had plenty of stock.

Oops, forgot to follow up. Yeah, only 3 others behind us at opening. We hung out and talked with AFOLs and staff for about an hour, and the Cafe was selling pretty steady, but they restocked them from the back once or twice. (Didn't see anyone go for the Maersk ship).

Few side notes: The staff mentioned that they got a "shelf layout chart" today or yesterday, and it showed Metalbeard's ship. Kinda strange to get those instructions unless the ship is coming out kinda soon. The employee had no additional info (so kinda cool being more "in the know" with that leaked box pict).

Also, they didn't have any of the new Friends sets, the Movie Firetruck/Mech set (arrives Monday), or the Cuusoo Curiosity set (which was of course back ordered at Shop@Home by then (and includes $7 shipping). :-/
