Contestants: this is a friendly reminder that no changes are allowed after the deadline, so your posts will be locked and if any of the photos in them change you will be disqualified.

This is the submission thread for the pilots listed above. Your letter this round is T.

Well tried to get creative with the "T" and avoiding the most obvious configuration.

I give you the T-wing escort fighter.

Cockpit with HUD:

Back Story blurb:

The T-wing is a small but tough one man fighter. It's unique cockpit arrangement makes it necessary to have a heads up display projected onto the windscreen. This fighter was intended to escort transports and freighters through dangerous sectors of the galaxy. Jido Obriss utilizes this fighter when he knows he will need a fighter that can take a hit and keep on going.

Thanks for reading and good luck to my opponent.

Oh man! This cockpit arrangement reminds me of the Mantis starfighter, came from some old Star Wars flight sim game or other. Probably from N64 days would be my guess, possibly Gamecube? I'm loving this design, it hearkens back to the old days of this site!

The Tt-20 Wing carried the double "T" name for one reason. The ship was designed for short range and long range space travel. What was known as CAP T-mode, the ship was designed for long range hyper space travel. This mode was needed to keep the engines further back and away from the pilot. In battle t-mode, the ship wing span would come further down and the wing span would shorten. The ship was equipped with four long range hyper engines, and two short range thrusters. Weapons included two missiles, four pulse cannons and four phaser guns.

It's still an official unmodified element. No issues there.

Sorry about that. I've thought mixing stickers counted as customizing the parts (I am such a LEGO purist  ) Hope you win this round now that that's cleared up ;)

A side argument, but I'd argue that mixing stickers is still well within the purist vein. After all, that's basically just another way that we swap around hands or legs on a minifig to make something custom. The torso I'm using on my pilot never came with fleshy arms, and they're obviously not "intended" to be popped off and swapped around, but we still all do it. Using something official (like a sticker) in an unconventional way is half the fun of the build!

Dw, not only did your pilot come with fleshy arms, but you didn't even swap out the single gloved hand or the legs.

It's just a Hawkeye figure with an uglier head.

Really ugly...

Stop ruining my point! Okay, your comment may be valid, but in spirit it is wrong. The figure actually did have a different torso originally (an old one from Rock Raiders) but I swapped it out during the initial pictures because the side was cracked. I'd actually forgotten all about the change.
