Superdeforce!

You may have seen the Brickset listings for what looked to be a 2014 replacement for the Planets series.  Well, it's not quite that, but it may be a nice chance to score some unique Star Wars figures on the cheap.  As a well documented lover of all things Rebel pilot, I'm very happy to see what appears to be Theron Nett, aka Red 10, and R2-X2 (or at least his dome).  Plus, you know...super cute!

They're all so cool.

I'll be annoyed if they're more than 10 quid though. The last few planets have been 12, which is a joke.

Who?? (Is this some non-speaking pilot extra from Ep IV battle of yavin?)

He spoke...though, he was one of the few (if not only) Red Squadron actors to not be credited. And I've no idea when/where his name was applied to him. But he's got a cool helmet!

Honestly, they could sell this figure with a bag of bricks that don't make anything and I wouldn't care. This figure is a big win. It's kind of funny that I was just saying in another post that I'd like to see more of the rebel pilots, and here we go.

This figure should have been used earlier in the planets series, but oh well. Better late than never.

I took a look at the others. Another Imperial Officer is always welcome. Everything else is so-so and probably a pass. Hopefully this means another y-wing pilot or perhaps a random snow speeder later on.

Some great pieces and figs. It also looks on some of the other sets there's new blaster that has a firing action for a 1x1 round.
Yea, though I walk through the valley...

Well that sucks. At least he has a proper blaster, unlike all the other sets next year.

The X-wing could make for an interesting chibi re-build to have chase the Darth Vader TIE Advanced around the Death Star set. Same with the TIE Interceptor.

I say re-build because I'd want the minifig fully seated inside the fighter. for the x-wing, those windshields from all the polybag helicopters over the last couple years should come in handy.

Honestly, in a set this small (referring to the X-Wing), I'm not surprised it's just the dome for the R2 unit. It's a bit of a tease, but I'll take what I can get.

These look good. The droid one is meh but I'll probably get the rest. Heck,I might get the droid one anyway and start a new collection.

And btw, there's also pics of the Batman Steamroller set around too :)
Thought you'd like this about the Vatican cameos.

The Falcon Cockpit should have some nice micro build uses as well
