MOC Madness 2013 Round 1: Bourri Ague vs Cato Stile

Postby Solo » Sun Nov 17, 2013 3:26 am

This is now the polling thread for the ships shown above. This poll will be open for exactly 48 hours so get those votes in quick! You can still view the entries below. Contestants: this is a friendly reminder that no changes are allowed after the deadline, so your posts will be locked and if any of the photos in them change you will be disqualified.

This is the submission thread for the pilots listed above. Your letter this round is G.

The deadline for this round is 8pm Pacific time next Sunday, November 24th.

Post your starfighter photos below. Include one photo you'd like to use as the polling image, one photo demonstrating the letter, and one showing your pilot in the cockpit. Standard photography restrictions apply.

Bourri Ague's Stinger Interceptor

Postby sparkart » Mon Nov 18, 2013 8:11 am

Bourri Ague is shown here piloting a Stinger interceptor. Like the ubiquitous Imperial TIE Fighter, the Stinger is a one-man, short-range ship carried on board larger starships or based at installations.

The ion cannon's power is boosted by the compact engine's power supply through a ventral tunnel power amplifier.

Bourri's face is framed by holographic projectors in the cockpit.

Got a couple more pix of it around here.

Stryker G; Cato Stiles.

A recent acquisition and addition to the multitudes of star-fighters that bounty hunter Cato Stiles possesses.

An elite class of low orbit strike class fighter, the Stryker G, while being speedy and lightly armed, had the unfortunate side effect of breaking apart when re-entering the atmosphere, leaving the pilot stranded inside the cockpit pod for days before a rescue crew could arrive.

Man, you two don't mess around. This is going to be a tough one.

Sparkart: you're allowed three photos as described above, but if you want to use the profile shot as the poll image that's fine too. Dealers choice. That goes for everyone. I just wanted to make sure you all remembered to include the straight on letter shot because I'm sure we'll get some fighters that are hard to discern from other angles.

Cheers guys! I figured It'd be fun to jump in with a bang this year!

Though in that line of thought, since we've both finished our entries, are we allowed to work on the second round's entry just in case we move on to the second bracket?
Or do we have to wait until the 25th to start as to have an even playing field?

I've got some theories I want to test out, but I'd hate to lose out by building them now, only to find that we can't start until next week!

Totally acceptable. If we wanted to put a hard lock on one ship at a time we simply would have revealed just the opening round in the bracket layout rather than the whole shebang. Just don't forget Han Solo's words of wisdom. Also, don't preemptively post any future ships until their time has come.

Yes... I bet you have.

Sorry for the mess.

You could use a good kiss!

Instead of a big dark blur, I see a bit bright blur.

ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a good blaster at your side.

I bet you do.

Chewie! Get into the garbage chute!

Ah boring conversation anyway. Luke, hurry up, we're gonna have company!

I'm fine here, we're all fine here. How are you?

Pretty sure Don meant either "I don't care what you smell!" or "Scoundrel? I like that."

Dang, 2 awesome builders against each other in round one (I haven't looked at the other threads yet so hopefully this isn't a recurring theme...), it'll be sad to see one of you go. "G"ood luck to both!
