LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Updates: Venom Big Fig, Baxter Building Gameplay

Venom Big Fig

Forbes posted a small but significant update to the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game.

Venom: Through the power of Change.org, it seems that TT Games will be listening to its fans and include a big fig version of Venom in order to keep the character true to it's comic book counterpart despite the petition not reaching its 500 signature minimum.

No Wii Version: There is still no Wii version, only Wii U, and that doesn't stem from any other reason other than attrition. With support for every platform including the new(ish) Wii U, Playstation 4, and Xbox One, one platform had to be let go, and that was unfortunately the Wii.

Another video posted on the same channel from last week shows him interviewing the director Arthur Parsons along with footage including the character grid. It demonstrates a couple things. There are over 140 character tiles (7 rows of 20, plus another unseen row as indicated by the little arrow at the bottom). Also, it looks as though those are all or mostly unique characters. Iron man, for instance, has one tile that cycles through at least 6 variations: Tony, Mk1, 3 other red-gold suits, and a question mark. His hulkbuster suit looks like it's on a different tile, but this at least largely relieves the fear that the "150 playable characters" would be clogged up with suit variants. Good news!
