Though we don't cover them in detail on FBTB, we all still love our Castle, Pirates, and Space LEGO too.

Toys'R'Us Bricktober 2013 Minifig Packs Revealed

Bricktober 2013
Week 1

October is nearly upon us and that means that Bricktober is nearly upon us as well. This year's Toys'R'Us promotion sees the return of the minifigure 5-pack with a different pack each week for three weeks. Not sure if there is another promo item for the final week, but we'll find out soon enough. Retail value for the sets is $19.99, but I imagine they will be free with a minimum purchase.

Thanks to ninnymuggins for the pics.

Oh boy... whole lotta meh going on. Looks like they took all the excess figure parts from the past few years and threw them all together in these sets. Too bad nothing super cool looking in the sets... and at $4 a fig it is even less appetizing.

Man, it took me way to long to figure out what the heck was going on with the police officer in the first set before I realized they didn't put the hair on properly.

Looks like there will only be 3 sets looking at volume 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3 on the top right of the boxes.

That backwards police hair is crazy funny... looks like a bad comb-over!

Last year was pure win with classic space and castle remakes. I concur with the earlier "meh" comment. I'm sure they'll still blow through their free stock and then they'll show up on TRU's ebay page at full price.
eBay store, contact me if you'd like to perform trades from my inventory. I'm looking for original genosian fighers, second version a-wing fighters and tie bombers. I may be interested in other sets so let me know what you have.

Call me old fashioned, but I miss the original mini-fig face. Must everyone look so aggressive? If they swapped out the heads then I think these sets might be more tempting.

It's ironic for me, since lately I've been picking up a lot of Town minifigs I'd been missing off of bricklink. A few of which are variations of ones in these sets. I've been paying about $2 to $3 a figure and now I realize what a great deal I've been getting. At $15 I might have picked up a couple of these. At $20 this is a pass.

Part of me is glad these are so lame. No need to give TRU any of my money this year.

literally every single part in the left 4 trays of each set is now or has been available in Lego Store Build-A-Minifigure in the past 6 months.... based on what I saw by me 2 days ago I could probably make 10 of these there and skip the not too impressive boxes. I was really hoping for a yellow neo-classic space guy to complete my set from last year and some other interesting stuff, guess not... not sure if i have the blue wizzard but everything else i do, just no interest for me aside from to say i have the promo thing... maybe on clearance i'll get interested

My thoughts exactly. There's no theme to any pack - just random figs.

Agree also on the aggressive face printing. Who's ever heard of an angry chef like in set 3?
