Star Wars Weekend Exclusive Minifig Revealed

Postby Staff » Mon Jun 10, 2013 11:03 pm

Clone Lieutenant

Update: Confirmed that they will NOT be available with purchase at The Big Shop. Looks like you have to have your child enter the trivia contest to get one if you aren't a volunteer.

This was the artwork sent to me showing the exclusive minifig that will be available this weekend during Star Wars Weekend at LEGOLAND California. This minifig will be given to the volunteers. And if history is a any indication, you'll be able to get one if you spend a certain dollar amount at the Big Shop. Also, I am pretty sure your child can get one from the 501st Droid Hunt game.

I realize that the picture shows the other lieutenants, but there is no indication at this time if they will be made. Also, other than being available this weekend, there is no word yet as to how else one could acquire this minifig. Stay tuned for details should more information become available.

The red one (and one other, don't remeber which) is available in a current set.

This looks great though. Anyone looking to pick up a spare and ship it across the Atlantic?

This looks great - if somebody is able to trade with me (I'm UK based); I'd be VERY grateful!

I would like to see the exclusives be slightly modified versions of existing or forthcoming figures.... numbered or something on back, name of the event etc.

I see that you scratched the part about receiving the minifigure with a certain purchase, so is it confirmed that there will be no exclusive minifigure for visitors?

So will this minifigure be offered to the public who attends the event and buys lego?

So, for Phase One armor, blue means Lieutenant...anyone else aiming to make this a Lieutenant Rex and outfit him with a kama, pauldron, and a couple of blaster pistols? I think it would be interesting to portray a younger Rex moving up the ranks from Lieutenant to Captain. Haven't found anything online to suggest that Rex had any adventures as a Lieutenant, but hey, it's all make-believe anyway, so I'm just going to make-up whatever I want.

@sparkart that's a cool idea! I believe the idea in the early clone times circa ep2 was that all clones were in plain white with officers being colored for identification but eventually that practice changed over to clones modifying their uniforms... probably more for the cartoon than anything else but it made for some great designs. I know that having the plain clone and sgt from the battlepack, and having the capt & commander on the way when the AT-TE & RGS make it to NYC, I need me some Lt. to fill in the ranks.
