I'm mainly getting this for the minifig so the cheaper the better. Also, I can understand a big-screen IMAX film on Blue Ray and Ultraviolet, but can anyone explain any real reason for this to be on anything other than DVD quality?
Well, it's based off of the LEGO Batman 2 video game cut scenes, and since LEGO Batman 2 came out on PS3 & XBox 360, which are hi-def gaming consoles, the video was already hi-def, so why not put it out on blu-ray.
Also, I haven't seen the DVD version that came with the blu-ray/DVD combo pack, but I have seen the blu-ray version and the quality is awesome, but also it does have some special features. It has the top 5 DC Superheroes Movie Maker contest winners, as well as an interview with the person who, I believe, won the contest.
Right now Target has both the blu-ray/DVD/digital combo pack and the DVD for $13.99 each, so if you have a blu-ray player, might as well go for the blu-ray combo pack.
I enjoyed it, just wish they would've actually used the alternate costumes from the game in the movie, but at least they showed them in Batman's suit gallery.
