Men Of Iron

Postby Staff » Fri Mar 22, 2013 11:55 am

Just a quick shot I took of all the official suits while working on my Iron Man 3 reviews, which should be along in the next day or so. I've been itching to see them all together since the IM3 sets were announced. I'm just wondering if I should do one of my reviews as a synopsis of the film based ONLY on the trailer and these three sets. Could be interesting. Crazy, but interesting.

Now to start building my Hall of Armour.

Agree, need to have the suitcase suit!

I use to think the super rare iron man was the best buy after seeing the full line-up over time i do like the helmet version.

A sticker on a box does not a suit of armour make.

I wish they'd make the Mark V suit though... and the Mark I... and II.

Oh, and Iron Patriot.

Prove it murph. Put it on your Tony fig and we can call it the emperor's new sticker.

Why does your Mark VI have silver hands?

Just picked up the IM vs Mandarin set today. I have to say Heart Breaker is awesome looking. The little Mnada-buggy has really grown on me. TBH I think the base design is perfect, it's a very nice military mini-apc type shape, it's the tall turret that ruins it, so I'm gonna fish out an old smaller axle piece to shorten it and lean it back so it looks less obtrusive.

I think the Mark 42 might've been better with gold arms and red hands though, since the majority of his arms are gold and it would help better differentiate him from the other minifigs.

I don't think those two events are causally related :P

New Legoised IM3 posters reveal Iron Patriot. Considering ONLY existing figures are used in both posters (the Mark VII and Mark XLII are reused in the bottom one) it seems likely that IP is now confirmed, especially since we got a Nick Fury after that Avengers poster. Admittedly not the SAME Fury figure, but a Fury nonetheless. Also kind of a musing to note that Tony has black hair still in these posters, despite the official figure having brown (though the side burns of the top one look brown...).
