They come in one of those endcap displays with 120 figures in them. I went through all 120 and this was the breakdown:

Keep in mind the boxes have a sticker that reads "Do Not Put Out Until May 1st," so your mileage may vary depending on the employee you talk to. Mine pointed to it and said "good thing I don't speak English."

That's a really odd breakdown.

It's possible the end cap hanger displays don't follow the same breakdown. They equal the amount you get in two cases but most likely don't have the same breakdowns. I've found more of a short packed figure than I should have in these types of displays in the past. I think it was the roman soldier so it does happen.

Went to TRU today and picked up six series 10 minifigs and had my worst feel method outing in a while but all I had to go off was the pic on my phone, needed the little insert list to get a good idea of the accessories and what I am feeling for. Anyways I ended up getting paintball player, tomahawk warrior, baseball fielder x2 and roman commander x2. Someone beat me to them though as they were all crinkled. Didn't find a Mr Gold of course but if I don't come across him, no biggie. The minifigs are BOGO 40% off though!

Confirming what MicroJow said. The packing for those endcap displays are pretty atrocious. The Sea Captain is by far the hardest to fine as I've come across boxes w/ only 1 of them in there.

I bought 50 packs of Series 10 today as it was all my local WH Smiths store had (they had another box, but someone had reserved it). I opened them all and got 15 of the 16 ... no Bee Girl. HOWEVER, I was extremely lucky enough to find a Mr Gold!!!

Woo hoo! Congrats! Personally, I've searched 900 packets thus far without a hint of gold. Once I hit 1,000, I'm giving up.

This is really odd. This is the first time that a Series of these has showed up and been available for this long with me still seeing absolutely no sign of them in my area stores. Usually both Fred Meyer and Target would have them out by now, given how many others have seen them.

I picked some up from Fred Meyer a couple weeks ago, but there were way fewer boxes than previous series. Instead of the 8 or so boxes per store, it was 1 to 2.

I've been checking regularly, and never saw any. Hate to think I missed them entirely. If so, though, that might be just what I need to break my addiction to these things. If I'm missing an entire series, the pressure to keep up a full collection is just gone. And there's no way I'm ever paying aftermarket prices for any of these.

Well...checked my local store today here in Australia and the gold mini figure series sets have finally arrived.
Not cheap though, at $5 each, but it's nice that Lego has decided to add a surprise figure in the set, though I'd no luck finding it myself. Others might.
But out of 14 packets I got;

Bit peeved I couldn't find bee girl as my daughter wanted it on her birthday cake, but these where just picking them at random, I did get 3 the same, and figured this out without opening them so I'll return them tomorrow when I'll get other 5.

Got 2 at Target today, they were at the end cap. Got Sea Captain and Paintballer. They put these guys out last Friday and they sold out over the weekend. They put them out again today and half the end-cap was already gone when I went there during lunch.

These guys are going QUICK.

I was extremely saddened that I purchased 16 directly from LEGO.com and everyone of my figures had been felt tested by who ever handled my shipment. It was so painfully obvious that the person did so that I am considering calling LEGO and letting them know. It was even more upsetting that I was given 8 Biker dudes. It would have only been more obvious that my selection was not random if they had been cut open and then sealed shut with tape...I am absolutely shocked that this happened as I have never had a bad shipment from them before...
