Like the title says, 10192 Space Skulls has been marked down to $19.99 on S@H. (A news item on Brickset seems to imply that the sale might be available outside of the U.S. as well, but I can't verify that.)

I'm sure it's a great deal and all, since it used to be a $99 set, but I just can't justify even the $20 for the corny idea (c'mon, space skulls?) even for the parts. I have plenty of parts anyway. There are also some great sets coming in a few months (and one at the end of this month) and that is where my LEGO money will go. Good score to those who see the need to buy this, but I'll be buying multiples of some of the great sets coming out soon (Endor bunker especially).

I got this set as a gift when it was $100, and then bought another when it hit $35. I love love love the models themselves, but as a parts pack it's ridiculously awesome.

I suggest that everyone who ordered one (or more) of these during the weekend might want to check their order status, as it would seem that LEGO oversold this set.

I've checked the status of my order today, and to my surprise, the many 10192 that I ordered Friday (I pushed the button at about 5 pm Eastern) weren't featured in my order (I ordered some other stuff with them). When I called to check what was happening, they told me that they oversold that particular set, so now, many orders just won't go through.

So check your order status.

Even at 20 bucks I wasn't feeling this one. If I could get the star justice for this price, it would have been a different story. The guys that created these live in my area and drop by the lego store here. They still had plenty of them in stock when I was there yesterday.
