Had originally found the images over at hothbricks.com but figured folks would prefer to read the post in English without Google Translate's poor French to English. But just incase here is the link.

And now I want them, especially 30242 Star Wars Republic Frigate since I don't have any SW ship.

There are figures in the Star Wars polybags sometimes. However, I would guess that it's probably because after the LEGO Star Wars games the interest in mini-ships spiked a ton. Next to the Planets series, polybags are the way to meet that demand. I might also guess that with the Lucas tax, skipping a figure helps them ensure a profit at that price point. This is just my speculation though.

Good point. I never considered the low price point and the Lucasfilm $$$. I have a few of the polybags with figs. They just seem to be fewer. Unless they are promo polys which only have a figure and no other bricks.

The only SW polybags with a fig in the US that I know of was the Endor speeder with Stormtrooper and Clone Wars STAP with Battle Droid.

I know the Sun newspaper, in the UK, I believe, had the little Clone Wars walker with Clone Wars clonetrooper, not sure if that ever made it to the US.

Does seem that SW doesn't get that many polys with figures.

I've gotten two of the Chima polys, probably try and get the boat one in the pic, not sure what comes with that. I got the grey wolf one from Target and the crow/raven on 4-wheeler from Walmart. Kind of regret not getting the lion one from TRU, they didn't have anymore at my only local TRU when I went last night.

Don't see any Galaxy Squad in the Brickfanatics pic, but there are at least two. A green astronaut with little brick built bug from TRU (bought two from TRU last night, only $3.49 each) and an orange astronaut poly from Walmart.

Most of the polies for Star Wars are mini models of vehicles. It's a whole sub line. If a poly in another theme is a mini vehicle, it also doesn't come with a minifig. A minifig is only included if it makes sense to include it.
