Amazon Discounts Retiring 10221 Imperial Shuttle

In addition to Amazon lowering it's price on 10221 Super Star Destroyer, they've also discounted 10212 Imperial Shuttle as well. It is on sale for $209.99, a nearly 20% discount off of MSRP. The last time we mentioned the Shuttle, it was listed on LEGO Shop@Home's 'Retiring Soon' page noting its imminent discontinuation. This might be the best price you see on this set from here on out.

Also, 10197 Fire Brigade is discounted 20% down to $119.99.

I'm trying to decide when to finally pull the trigger on this set. Last year, Amazon kept yo-yoing the price on the Shuttles and hit a low of $182 on Dec 17th and then went back up. The big question is will they do it again this year? I've been waiting to buy assuming they would.

Indeed it is. Particularly when you live in Australia, and you can take advantage of Amazon's awesome shipping rates and America's awesome pricing! Saved myself over $200, booyeah.

Has anyone who place an order for the IS received a delivery confirmation? Yesterday they had at least 999, but today the product page has an "Item Under Review" message. It could be that they never had as many as they were listing, hence the message, but I was curious if anyone actually received one.

Thanks, it's good to know that they at least had some. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch.

As far as checking Amazon's inventory you can add the item to your cart and then change the quantity to 999, which is the maximum number of items they will let you add to your cart. If they have that many (or more), your subtotal will change to that amount. If they have less, they update your cart to reflect that number.
