Mech Madness Winners!

Postby Staff » Sun Dec 09, 2012 12:31 am

The polls are finally over and the results are in, and it looks like it pays to be bad. The Heroes put up a great fight but the Villains came out on top in the end. Here are the three winners as chosen by FBTB forum members:

In first place, zhouston's Atlas with Juggernaut at the controls:

In second, Trooper10's Wolverine piloting The Wolverine:

In third, madLEGOman's Victor Freeze and N.O.R.A.:

We'll be contacting those three about the prizes shortly, but I wanted to thank everyone who participated and once more congratulate all those builders who made it to the bracket stage. These contests wouldn't mean anything if you all held back, and you always manage to impress me.

Oh, my! These MOCs are absolutely stunning! The shapes, the curves, the angles! I would really recommend that the creators would submit these to CUUSOO! I would buy them in a heartbeat! :D

I think the first place was obvious from a while back, but then the results of the contests have surprised me before. Not this time.
Congrats to all the winners, all very cool mechs!

LEGO wouldn't consider making sets out of fan-fiction stuff. Yeah, a real bummer. :(

Not surprised by first place at all. From the moment you posted it I knew it was going to be the one to try to beat.

I suggest simple socialist principles: redistribute the resources more evenly. More winners. Smaller prizes. Perhaps it would lead to greater happiness, or even less arrogant winners. You never know.

Congratulations though zhouston: you are a worthy winner comrade, a worthy winner. Well played sir. That mech Rocked. Much respect.

Relax guys, it was just an itsy bit of smacktalk. Zane knows i'm a fan of his. But that doesn't mean i can't tease him for beatin the bajeezus out of me over and over again. And i wouldn't change these contests or their outcomes for the world. With the lone exception of the inclusion of more fbtb related prizes. My fbtb shirt is definitely my favorite thing that ive won, or come close to winning rather, but for the kindness of ace. For he is a kind and generous intrernet demigod.

I'm not impressed with said mannerisms, but then who am I to judge....even though I have my own reasons. Rubbed the wrong way perhaps.
