Apparently, the 30212 Mirkwood Elf Guard polybag isn't the only Hobbit polybag set. Brickset is reporting that Toys'R'Us is selling 30213 Gandalf as well. Let the hunt begin!

Update: Price for this set is $3.99 and qualifies for the BOGO 50% off deal this week for LEGO.

Thanks to murphquake for the heads up.

Hmm... Seeing as Gandalf is already in a few sets, I'll probably pass on this one, however this would be a good, cheap way of getting some more of those new swords.

One of the new swords and an easy way to get a map tile and one of the iconic characters from LotR. I'd get it if my local TRU ever got around to getting new polybags. Seems all we ever get are City and Star Wars.

It's a pass for me, Gandalf comes in the lowest overpriced LOTR set. You get a spear, sword, torch, flame, skull head and a minifigure. Better deal than the CMF but the Mirkwood Elf is a way better value with the bogo imho.
eBay store, contact me if you'd like to perform trades from my inventory. I'm looking for original genosian fighers, second version a-wing fighters and tie bombers. I may be interested in other sets so let me know what you have.

Thanks for posting this! I was finally able to grab a few of these new LOTR polybags, and the BOGO 50% helped. FBTB saves the day again...and helped make my wallet lighter too!

Gandalf Polybag is on Toys R Us website right now. It's priced at just $3.99 but is not qualifying for the BOGO 50% sale.

I was on the hunt for the Mirkwood Elf polybag. Only found 1 at the local TRU on Hobbit Tuesday. Today, at a different TRU, I found the Gandalf polybag; not by the LEGOs, but by the Hobbit action figures. I picked up 4 of these as stocking stuffers. At the checkout, they did not ring up as BOGO. The manager said they didn't qualify. I bought them anyway and on my way out decided that was BS. I went back in and took the sale sign off the shelf and said "Show me where it says 'No Hobbits'." Long story short: I saved the $4. Yay, me.
