30212 Mirkwood Elf Guard Polybag

Brickset and TheBrickLife have reported the first Hobbit related polybag has surfaced at TRU in the US and it looks pretty sweet. I love me some polybags and I'm more of a parts guy so this caught my attention for the mushroom, green hood and wine glass alone, though the whole set looks good overall compared to many polys recently. Feel free to sound off if you see 30212 Mirkwood Elf Guard in store and I'll cross my fingers for their arrival in Canada.

Not at my TRU, I was just there yesterday. But, sigh, that's not unusual.

Nice. I just recently searched the catalog for a green hood for a custom minifig. Now that one exists my brain can't seem to remember what I wanted to make.

Thanks, I ordered a few TRU.com.

I checked my local TRU but they are still sporting the Anakin Podracer polybag

Mine didn't have them either, but the associate was happy to order 4 of them for me and input a bypass code for free shipping. ;)

^nice.
^^I hate that stupid podracer! It's not like anybody wants to buy it, anyway. (aside from collectors)

Could someone post a link to the Mirkwood Elf Guard on TRU's website for the US? I'm looking for it there with no luck. My local TRU said 30212 wasn't in their system, only 30210 (Frodo of Bag End), the one with cask and fireplace. I was talking with the store manager and he suggested some other TRU might have it.

EDIT: blargh, nvm here it is, 30212 called "LEGO The Hobbit Elf" by TRU-US
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... oldInStore

I had called 30212 "Mirkwood Elf Guard" as per the pic from the FBTB post but that didn't work when I was at the TRU store, and the website didn't bring this up under the search strings "lego lord of the rings", "30212" or "Mirkwood Elf Guard".

The search string "LEGO The Hobbit Elf" does bring you to 30212 on the US TRU site.

Went to TRU, had them look it up, none in the store, none in whatever radius comes up when they check for other stores. Saw a 7962, walked back home, got target flyer, walked back, they price matched! While at customer service for the manager to do the match I see 4 boxes of CMF Series 5, ask if i can check them out, guy says, oh we're not selling them, they're for a promotion, then gives me one... It's a good lego night!

Glad I didn't order them and missed out on paying shipping. I'd written the item number down for the elf and called to find my store had them in stock. They were at the service desk so they may be held for an upcoming promo. They rang for 4.99 so I picked up 21 of them to qualify for the $25 off $100 promo that ends today. This is the best poly bag I've ever seen! Good building pieces with the barrel, tree, mushroom, wine glass. The figure is really nice with the drab torso from the elf in the wine barrel escape and a forest green hood. The head is the same as the Elrond gamestop giveaway (a figure I still need to pick up). It is two sided with a straight lipped side and angry teeth barring side.

eBay store, contact me if you'd like to perform trades from my inventory. I'm looking for original genosian fighers, second version a-wing fighters and tie bombers. I may be interested in other sets so let me know what you have.

Just saw that they are now available online for $4.99 each and they are eligible for the BOGO 50% off.

Update: Curses, they were pulled off the website again. Well, at least I found some in stock for pickup at nearby stores that I can go to today.

they were online and pulled for a second time? I didn't see them available this time around. I was hoping they had been pulled from the webpage the first time because they were waiting for the official release date...the 27th. No such luck I guess. They have all the other Hobbit sets listed.

I wish I could search the webpage and see if my store has them.
