Mech Madness 2012 Pool Play: Heroes

Postby Solo » Sun Nov 04, 2012 11:43 pm

This 7 day poll is to determine which 16 heroes will make it to the tournament. You must pick your five favorites. The top ranked mechs will then be seeded into brackets and continue on to head to head polls next week.

Yeah I thought picking a top five would be relatively easy but everyone has done a great job on their mechs

whoooaa!! i didn't realize that there were sooo many heroes!!
...in the end i didn't join this (once again) amazing contest....i was projecting a Rorschach mech from the DC's "Watchman"', but i didn't have time to making it...so this should have been my pool :)

GOOOOOOD LUCK to EVERYBODY!

Slightly better odds with 28 Heros, sucks for those that choose Villians. By the looks of these entries I'll be happy if I make it to the next round! Nice job "Heros"! :)
Yea, though I walk through the valley...

Really tough choices, both here and on the villains side.

May the best hero win! (The good guys always, win, right? :S)

I'm really surprised no one did Punisher. That guy could actually use a mech and it wouldn't even need arms. Just a walking gatling gun and missile platform :p

This was harder than choosing the names of my children. They are all amazing.

This contest is getting a lot of publicity. There has already been blogs on several mechs in the contest on Gizmodo, LaughingSquid, Brothers Brick, and others. There are some pretty amazing creations here and its great to see them getting recognition outside the Lego world.

Well, guess that answers my question about why these poll threads seem to have around five thousand views together now.

Sorry Master Beef, although the publicity is great for the site and contest, I'm not going to provide links to these blog posts out of fairness for other contestants. I purposely left out the names of competitors and mechs when I posted about the blogs for this reason. If you do a bit of searching, I'm sure you will be able to find them. There seems to be a lot of buzz from this contest around a bunch of big tech blogs on the net so it shouldn't take you too long to find.
