Angry Birds Star Wars

Postby DocBlock » Mon Oct 22, 2012 11:14 am

Have you guys seen these?

I'm not usually into weird spin offs, but my girls love the Angry Birds game and thought this might be a good opportunity to persuade them toward Star Wars.

I'm thinking of these as possible Christmas gifts what are your thoughts?

it's a really strange mashup. and i usually like strange mashups. i can't really wrap my head around it and there's nothing compelling about merging the two that would make me want to investigate the toys further. depending on how old your girls are, if that's the only gift under the tree, you may be a dead man walking. maybe as stocking stuffers?

Yeah good point about them being the only thing. My wife's already picked a few more girls toys I'm holding off to the side for them.

The bad thing is after seeing these I was hoping to find a Star Wars Angry Birds App, but no luck.

Ok thanks for that info.

I may grab the App then for my girls and save my money by not buying the toys.

If it's free and on Android I'll try it.

See I'm such a sucker for anything Star Wars mainly do to it being such a big part of my child hood.

Plus my girls love the Angry birds franchise. (We got them some of the dolls last year for Christmas.) So I'm glad for the chance to try and connect their interests with my own like this.

Then maybe they'll want to watch the movies with their daddy after playing this game.

Once I saw Angry Birds/Star Wars, I decided enough is enough.
I am officially DONE with Star Wars. I will never again spend so much as a DIME on ANYTHING Star Wars. (That includes any new movies.)
George Lucas then sold Star Wars to Disney a few weeks later.
I made my decision at the right time.

I may still hold a soft place in my heart for it, but the more I see things like "Family Guy/Star Wars" and "Angry Birds/Star Wars" the harder that soft spot becomes.

I love this game! I already finished Tatooine and the Death Star, and I'm considering buying Dagobah. Can't wait for the Hoth level pack!

They are cool, but why not some good old lego? Do they like friends?
Thought you'd like this about the Vatican cameos.

Hi Ultron32 good advice. My wife picked up some of those new girlie LEGOs for them since we had a sale and with my employee discount.

I think this will be their first real LEGO set (non-DUPLO) so curious to see how much they like them.

I'm planning to buy the app Christmas Eve then show them Christmas morning then one can play on my iPad and the other on my phone.

FYI, this game is very much worth the 99 cents. It's got the same mindless fun that you get with any other Angry Birds title (worth the 99 cents right there), and then throws in force powers, lightsabers, and blasters. The "asteroid" levels at the end of the Tatooine level are especially fun, when you start arcing between gravity fields.
If the above post didn't offend you, you're probably reading it wrong.

And the last level of Death Star is even in the trench. And a X-Wing is also included :-)
